How do you know that AT&T found out? And what was it that they did to prevent you from accessing the 4G features?

Hi!!
I have an atrix 2 4g phone which ive been using on prepaid and getting internet and multimedia messages until recently.
I know when i got the phone a while back there was a apn/vpn hack video i saw which unlocked the 4g features for prepaid users.
apparently at&t found out i was using a 4g phone on prepaid and now i can no longer get interent or multimedia messages.
does anyone know a way around this??
Also my carrier is at&t
Thanks for any input or suggestions!!

well i called today because i havent been receiving any text messages for about two days now. also my internet has not been working unless im connected to open wifi.
The rep said i see you have the atrix 2...and its prepaid..thats why the internet isnt working for you. 4G smartphones wont get the extra feautures on prepaid. I said its been working fine for months...and he stated that it must have caught up somehow.
Im guessing it either finally registered in their system or they are cracking down>?
I know i used to have access to billing online and somehow it would show the phone you use on the account detail.
Im not sure how they can tell but somehow they can.
And i dont know exactly what they did but mine isnt working like it used to!!
I had a similar issue with a prepaid iPhone 3GS I bought from a guy on Craigslist. I didn't know about APNs at the time, so I couldn't say if the rep made any changes, but he did mention he changed some account settings so I had 3G access (the best the 3GS could do).
AT&T's prepaid network sucks. There are vast parts of the country (most of WY and NE) that aren't covered on pre-paid for even basic phone service, even though the regular subscribers have access. I'm using a T-mobile reseller that give full access to the regular paid T-mobile network, but they don't have great 4G coverage anyway.
Which AT&T prepaid plan are you using?
