Atrix 2 will nto charge from A/C Power using supplied charger

The phone will not charge from A/C power using the supplied charger. If I use the same cable and plug it into USB, it will charge fine. If I use the provided power brick with an LG USB to Micro USB cable that I have, it will charge from A/C power.

If I attach the supplied brick and cable to the phone with the battery removed, the white light lights up. This is very strange. I bought the phone from a friend so I cannot just return it to AT&T. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

If you're simply going off the lights indicated during charge, they've been known to give poor results.

If you don't see the battery on the phone indicating charging, then you're probably not receiving power. Replace the unit.

The problem with using USB from your computer is that it is S.L.O.W. to charge. Using a power brick from another unit may not provide sufficient current either. If it were me, I'd just buy a new power charger. They're not that expensive. Actually, I have 3 for my own use.

I must have five or six laying around here or scattered about the apartment. It is impossible to have *too many* of them on hand.

Well, you have two options. You can return it and get a new phone/charger etc, or you could just get the charger.

Power supplies DO go bad. You got it from a friend used.

Are you sure it's not charging? No indication on the battery icon on the phone? Is it plugged into a working plug?

Even though it's used, Motorola may replace it free of charge if it isn't working. Call them.

On hold with Motorola now. I know the charger works because it works with other phones. Odd thing is that if I pull the battery and plug in this charger the light comes on so it is getting power to some degree, it just won't charge.

Buy a new charger, they're super cheap. Problem solved.

I am having a similar issue but when I plug my phone in nightly when I go to bed, it shows that it is charging and I wake up and it still shows the battery at the 40% that it was at when I plugged it in. This is my second phone after returning the 1st one after a week of owning it and it not booting up at all. The only charger that seems to work is one that I use for my wireless mouse. Any ideas?
