    Tethering without root?

Hey guys still looking around the forums and with the new HD my interest has been renewed. They've gone off their original atrix formula atrix 2 and all but I would like to give the HD a chance. Can tethering be enabled w/o unlocking the bootloader or rooting? Or if a root comes out soon can it be turned on?

Try foxfi and you dont need root to use it.

How can I get foxfi if it isn't in the play store?

    Nevermind, I figured it out.

Now that I have it, how good is it at hiding tethering from the AT&T mafia?

Thanks everyone I'll keep that in mind when making my decision. Seems like there is an app for that lol.

i'm not sure it will hide the tethering. even if you believe it is, packet information that transmits between your laptop and at&t's data servers can be a tell tale sign that you're tethering regardless.

The add-on available at the play store says it will create a web proxy server to hide the tether usage. You're saying that's unlikely to actually hide it?

(I'm not tech savvy, I just pretend...)

If they found a way to hide it, then cool. I still caution using it though.

    You really never know.

Agreed. I only plan to use it in an emergency.
