An even more alternative option is a bluetooth reciever that has an FM broadcaster as well. I bought a Motorola T505 which does this. It's clipped to my sun visor. It searches the radio and tells me the best station to tune to for itself. I get audio through the car stereo and phone conversations through the car stereo. The music fades out when the phone rings and fades back in once the call is done. Very smooth.

I'm using a Jabra Cruiser in my car because my car sterer isn't Bluetooth compatible and doesn't have an auxillary input. It's a handsfree speakerphone that clips onto your sunvisor and also has an FM transmitter in it. It supports A2DP, so my calls and my music get routed to my FM radio. Motorola has a couple of similar devices if you want to keep it in the family.
