Wow, I had no idea we had so many altruistic mods here"All for the good of the forum". Such willingness to sacrifice for the good of the group is admirable and rare.

Is there a dim setting that turns the screen completely off eventually? and if so, does the screen turn back on it gets an email?
I like it dark when I sleep. I've got a playing card that leans against the display on my alarm clock that I move only when I need to see the time. With my old iPhone, I always set it face down on the bedside table because it would light up at night if it got a text, email or alert. I'd get the dock in a heartbeat if I could set it up to autodim 2 minutes after it hits the dock, re-light for 2 min when I touch it and stay dark for emails, texts, etc.
iPhone -> iPhone 3 -> iPhone 3GS -> iPhone 4 -> Atrix.
Anyone looking for a like new Panasonic ToughBook laptop?

Does the standard dock have a USB connector at the back to allow you to connect to the PC without using the power adapter?
There is only one USB port on the back of the standard dock, so I know you can't connect both wall charger and PC at the same time. I have not tried using that port to connect to the PC. I'll have to try that when I get home this evening. Though I thought I remember reading somewhere that standard USB connectivity with this dock wasn't supported, like they only used the charging pins for the port, but that wouldn't make much sense, so hopefully not. I'll let you know if no one else is able to chime in before then.
So I looked in the manual of the Standard Dock and it specifically states Connect to wall charger Only. Do Not connect via USB to a computer. USB connectivity is not supported with this dock. (Or something close to that) I did not try beyond that.
