Yeah, sorry about that. I had read some time ago that it can work with extension cables, but that's just too much work.

I must say, I like the OG Atrix's Lapdock much better. Better style, larger screen, etc. Too bad it doesn't support any other phones. (without adapters, again)

117910[/URL]]I think it's more of losing a full "desktop" type browser, and not actually losing a browser altogether. Going to a tablet experience then introduces a native Android-built browser, like the ones on your phones. They're more designed for touch and less robust in some areas.

On a side note, if anyone has a Verizon store nearby you might want to drop in and see if they have any Lapdock 100's left in stock. They're supposed to be on a $50 fire sale. They're useful for any Webtop supporting phone. (Edit: not compatible with Atrix 4G/1 port layout)

The best part about having a firefox browser vs an android browser is that certain sites will not allow you to access their content through your phone. This comes in especially handy with the multimedia dock. I am not looking forward to losing my firefox browser.

Radio Shack is clearing out the Atrix lapdocks for $20 - if you can find one. There are still some out there.

You need to call a local store and ask them to look up the SKU 1706310. They can tell you which local stores have them in stock.

The product is NOT listed on their website, so don't bother.

jetmech - yes, you can. I've seen instructions on XDA regarding the entitlement check, however I can't find them at the moment. Sorry I couldn't provide the direct instructions.

So....if they are getting rid of webtop...I guess that means they are either fundamentally restructuring blur or perhaps getting rid of it?

It is a shame that they are scrapping webtop. I think it's a phenomenal feature that has a lot of great uses. How many phones can be accessed from a persons TV?

Now folks will have to stick with Atrix 2, Droid RAZR, Droid 4, Droid Bionic, and even the lowly Motorola Photon 4G, if they want to enjoy Webtop 3.0.

I think it was intentionally left out of that list only for the reason that it doesn't currently have ICS and therefore the Webtop 3.0 that was specifically stated. The A2 doesn't officially have an ICS release yet, but one has been leaked.

So, I don't know for sure, but I don't think is was derogatory. We're just not sure which Webtop version we'll be left with when the ICS upgrade gets here.
