I have seen where some people have had success using the A2 with the OG Lapdock, but it takes the proper adapters/extension cables.
You may be able to use it as a monitor for HDMI mirroring at least.

This is a discussion on 4G Docks with Atrix 2? within the Motorola Atrix Accessories forums, part of the Motorola Atrix Forum category; I got a great deal on a 4G lapdock and Mulimedia dock w/keyboard, mouse and remote for $40 shipped. I figure I can separate them ...
I got a great deal on a 4G lapdock and Mulimedia dock w/keyboard, mouse and remote for $40 shipped. I figure I can separate them out if I cannot use them with my (yet to be delivered) Atrix 2, but I would like to use at least the lapdock. Has anyone tried using 4G docks with the Atrix 2? Or will I end up reselling everything but the remote/mouse/keyboard?

I heard of a guy modifying the dock connector on an og lap dock to work with a photon. Dunno where the connectors are on an a2,but the photons spacing was slightly wider so he took the connectors out of the dock and glued them with proper spacing.

Well, I found the M/F micro HDMI cable needed to fit the A2 on the OG Lapdock: Micro HDMI Male to Micro HDMI Female M F Extension Cable HDMI 1 4 D Type 30cm | eBay
The USB cable is obviously easier to find.
I modified a OG vehicle dock to fit the A2. The A2 is much bigger, and I had to hack the dock up pretty bad to get it to fit. But at least it works. I'm using it as a charging dock until I can get to trying to mod the Multimedia Dock, which will probably be much more difficult.
