When you say your previous yak, I am guessing that you mean data from the app (conversations, or whatever yik yak does lol). Best way to uninstall an app is to go to manage apps /select app/ wipe cache/data, and then uninstall.

If I uninstall this app, it leaves remnants of the app in my phone. For example, let's say I install, yak. Uninstall. A week later re-install. My previous yak still shows. Is this due to remnants being left on the device itself or is it somehow identified by my phone on a yik yak server somewhere?
