So recommended? I don't mind the stock keyboard. Is this one much different, or are the benefits mainly the predictive capabilities? Sounds like it has multilanguage predictive text, so that would be nice for some. Is it really a memory hog to the point that it is laggy?

Try it. It's free. If you don't like it, erase it.

Here's a short and dirty difference between stock and Swiftkey X

-X has crazy awesome predictive capability and its 2 styles of careful and rapid makes it easier for you to adjust the way it predicts to your own personal style.
    - X has themes like light (default), dark, and neon (im loving this one).
    - X has the ability to learn from your outgoing SMS messages, gmail, facebook. All are up to you to turn on or not. I personally only turned on SMS because I'm paranoid about gmail and I don't use facebook.

    - Stock is pretty good as it is, but the predictive text isn't very awesome.
    - Stock has bigger keys on the screen

but as always, just grab it since its free and try it out for a week or so, and if you don't like it, delete it. no harm no foul.

My primary issue with Amazon apps is that even the crappy ones that I have downloaded, tried, puked, and tried to rid my memory of, still clutter "my apps" list on the appstore. There are some apps/games that I install from time to time but I have an interest in going back to. There are others that I want to blacklist from my memory. I've already asked Amazon about this and they are apparently "working on it", whatever that means. I just hate the additional clutter created by trying new apps on Amazon's site. If it wasn't for this, I would probably try the free app almost every day.

I just started using it and the main thing that bugs me about it is i dont like the haptic feedback.

Other than that, I like the option to have arrow keys! Now I can use landscape and easily get to the EXACT spot I want to make a correction.

you can adjust the haptic feedback to however low or high you want in the settings menu.

p.s. in Gingerbread you can do it with touch at very precise levels too......with a mini arrow thingy.

I can relate to that. There's a long list on mine with the Install option. I've learn to just ignore them. It would be neat if there's an Amazon App update that allows you to remove them.

Yeah, I dislike the non option to remove stuff too. Like the original Swiftkey is still there.......even though I updated it with Swiftkey X.

Hopefully the next Amazon AppStore update will allow us to remove stuff.
