boot linux instead of android?

Hello everyone ive been searching around and cant really find anything useful on trying to boot linux instead of android, ok would it be harmful to take the linux boot.img and replace the android. Img with it? Or how could we go about getting it to boot because honestly i like the desktop look and the touchpad mouse on it, would it be possible to get those aspects out of the linux img and put it in mine? Any help or lead in thr right direction will be appreciated

With reference to the OS, I don't know pf it being changed. You can change webtop out for linux though... if you want the desktop like experience on tour phone, I know there are different launchers that will do that for you. You just need to google them...(sorry the names escape me right now).

Well you see i would like to have the desktop on at all times webtop would just show when hooked up through hdmi
