    BACKUP your SD Card!!!

If you are moving from another device and already have a SD Card, if you don't backup your data on it, you WILL LOSE all of your data! I just learned this the hard way. Now I can't use my Titanium backups or My Backup Pro either. I've lost all of my photos, my apps! Dang it, I knew I should have done that first! I was just too excited!

Hold on - you mean you will lose it once you stick it in your Atrix, or do you lose everything on it once your current phone is deactivated??

Apparently the Atrix does a format on any new card inserted without warning. I have never seen this on other Android devices. I mangage phones for a living and I have deployed the Aria, Captivate, and EVO. I bought my wife a Viewsonic G Tablet and none of those have shown this behavior.

So anyway, I lost everything that I had just backed up from my EVO to my SD Card, hoping to migrate over to the Atrix. Oh well. My fault for not using Dropbox at least for the most important stuff like my photos.

Thanks for the info. I was just getting ready to put my sd card in. Thankfully I back my pictures up pretty often.

I don't think it ended up being a wide spread problem; I know it didn't happen to me, but, then again I think I started with a freshly formatted card and transferred all my stuff back to it afterwards.

And... You, sir, get this week's resurrection award.

That sucks, but that did not happen to me. Mine was still in tact since the first time I put the sdcard in and consequently whenever I took it out and put it back in again.
