I think that report falls into the "unsubstantiated rumor" category for now. No reason to be upset at this point. I'd expect that the removal of the restriction is very simple to implement, and thus will be something we'll see for the Atrix. Just my guess, mind you.

I would have to agree with WERA. It is about the most simple change to implement on a phone. I think the article is interpreting the announcement the way they see fit. Everything is factual until that last line; it could have been left out. But, again, opinion. =)

I feel it will probably be added in the future,BUT why wasn't it included in the last update? I imagine it is an easy fix AND it certainly got coverage since Amazon opened. Makes me think that Att will drag toes as long as possible on this. Major users won't be as vocal as they were about upload speeds since there is a way around it and it is primarily just an annoying inconvenience.

I believe they want to wait. They want the infuse to launch with this feature for at least a few weeks and then the update will come

Personally, I'm more concerned about the issue with the Banking apps than sideloading. I deposit my expense reimbursement checks via the Chase app. It's gonna suck having to go out of my way to the B&M bank. Guess I could load up the app on the wife's iPhone worst case....

There is already a method to sideload apps on XDA...I dont know if u guys only mean without a workaround, but sideloading apps have been possible for a long time. The tutorial here.

It will be added to the Atrix in a future update. Do not fret.
