    I just notice this also.

Does this update "unroot" the phone?

Yes, you will be unrooted. Get Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper from the Android Market and use it to make a backup of your su binary BEFORE you update, then use it to re-root AFTER the update.

After downloading and making a backup, do I 'temp unroot' before I update or do I I keep it rooted, update - then get the option to restore root?

You can just update and then get root access afterwards. The procedures still works.

Edit/ Just make sure you haven't modified anything in systems.

    Update failed :(

I'm one of the idiots that actually removed a few Blur bloat apps instead of freezing -- I got antsy and didn't do enough research at the time. Titanium Backup also won't restore those apps, it just sits at the busybox forever until I reboot the phone.

So naturally, the update fails. What are my options here? I want to make sure I get this update applied so I'm ready for ICS in Q3!!!

    Thanks in advance,
    Jon
