Does Atrix 4G with Gingerbread work with dual core? And with ICS?

    Hi everyone,

First of all I tried to find some post regarding my doubt but I couldn't found.

I have an Atrix 4G of AT&T with gingerbread but I think it is slower than it should be. Does the dual core work with gingerbread? Will it work with ICS??

What can I do to let it smooth?

    Tks in advance

What do you mean "slow"? Are you talking about gaming, screen transition, opening an app?

The dual cores will be used the same in ICS as they have been in FroYo and GB. They're used, but maybe not to the fullest; or at least that's how Intel sees it. Take that for what it's worth: the competition speaking out against their competitor.

Now, I defer to the questions already asked above.

In regards to "slower than it should be" what are you comparing it to? A dual core Intel PC? It wont be the same, also have you tried flashing a faster kernel? There are brilliant tuts all over regarding hacks for the 4G.
    Cheers

Another thing, is this your first Android? They are like computers more than phones in the past, as they have running processes in the background that can slow you down. Try a process manager that can kill unnecessary processes and a memory app. It's been my experience that on the average, Android with a reasonable number of apps can have as many as 18-22 processes running in the background.

On that same note, be careful, and understand what processes you are terminating. Chances are the processes that might be dragging you down are not Android system processes, but apps that you have installed at one point in time or another.

The Android OS is designed to keep your memory in use, loading as much information into cache so when you request it, the information is there. I am willing to bet, if you are running 2.3.6, it is one of the many issues that came with that release. I haven't been around here in a bit, so I don't know if people are still having a lot of trouble with it.
