    Nexus 7 with your atrix

I know the nexus 7 doesn't have 3g, could you plug your atrix into it and make it 3g if you needed it to, just feeding off its 3g capacity. Or could you buy a dongle from your carrier and just plug it in and get 3g that way or is that not possible. John

I use WiFi tethering to give my Nexus 7 3G access.

Firstly, you either have to have a data plan with tethering or root and lots of other stuff. Then it's just a WiFi hot-spot that you connect your Nexus 7 to. It's just that easy.

I got a data plan with phone, but after that your reply is confusing especially when you say lots of other stuff and leave it at that, sorry I'm missing the point, maybe. John

    Does your plan in tethering?
If not you need to root your phone. That would be the starting place. It get's a little complicated and I didn't want to overwhelm you.

According to most TOS "agreements", no; not unless your plan includes tethering.

And if your plan includes tethering, the functionality is built in to the OS, so you don't need third party apps.

Fox-fi app. Beware though, you could get busted. But so far, works great, plus no rooting. I dont overuse it though, just every once in awhile.
