Wink Looking to unlock bootloader using an older process. Need feedback.

Hi, I need a little hand holding because if I hard brick my personal phone I'll suffer from crippling depression.

I've unlocked an Atrix that is my company's phone using this process:
    Motorola Atrix - RootzWiki

However that Atrix was running 2.3.4 and my personal Atrix is running 2.3.6
Is there any reason why I should not use the same process to unlock my personal phone?

This process uses zomgunlock-lite.sbf, and this forum seems to be partial to 4547-fix-try2.sbf (or "pudding")
is there a difference, and if so, can someone explain?

To be honest, I don't know the differences in the two files, but I know the zomgunlock files still works fine. It's what I used to unlock my last replacement phone and it was on 2.3.6 already. I used it since that's what I already had on my PC at the time and I wasn't aware the file changed over time. There may be a good reason to use the newer SBF (it does contain one extra file), but I haven't noticed any reason not to use the zomgunlock version.

Many thanks, I used zomgunlock strickly because I knew what to expect.
However, I guess as a newb, I had no idea it would reset my phone to factory defaults. all my pictures and such are gone.
On the bright side, I can now make nandroid backups...

Sorry about that. I really should have pointed you to our in-house unlocking guide where it gives warnings like that.

Glad to hear the rest of it worked out for you.
