LOL!!! Yeah each carrier has a different address, but you just use your telephone number, including area code and then use your carrier's domain. AT&T is txt.att.net, Sprint is messaging.sprintpcs.com. If you Google is, you'll find a complete listing out there somewhere. It's very handy for Network guys like me to have systems send an email to your phone as a text message versus regular email that could be down. Most monitoring software have their own built-in mail servers.

Mine worked fine, and I don't know if this is the issue with yours working or not, but the address doesn't use the dashes in the number.

Yeah I know the dashes are not used. I added them here so people cold see that it was a telephone number. Also, it wasn't just my phone, it was the two other Network Engineers here and a Network Administrator. One uses an Atrix, the other a Captivate and the other an iPhone 4. Since my OP, it seems to be back in working order. The messages were delivered at odd and varying times over the corse of the day and night. Really weird. But I have seen this before on AT&T.

Gotcha! I just happened to try it at the right time for it to be working.

Yeah most people don't use it, so it goes largely unnoticed in the mainstream, but network guys use it an awful lot.
