Rooted Atrix - Can I update to GingerBread when it comes out?

As the title says, I'm wondering if I have rooted my Atrix 4G via GingerBreak should I update to the upcoming GingerBread update OTA or should I flash back to stock (unroot) and then OTA update.

    Thanks,
    Kishan

You should be okay with running the OTA with root as long as you have'nt added a rom or anything you will just lose ROOT. but the update should run fine.
As always keep calm and chive on

If you haven't modified system files, root wont break ota. You will lose root though.

If you get an android with a caution symbol upon installing ota..then you modified something and need to battery pull and flash a sbf of stock. It won't hurt.

I have much experience with unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs on the original ATRIX. I will do my best to hold your hand through any problem, small or large, on any phone. Please open up a thread in the help section (or Rescue Squad section if your phone is in dire need) or PM me. I don't bite

All I did was get SetCPU and AdFree. Does AdFree modify system files ?

Sam's correct, it shouldn't, but it's always good to revert settings on any app that changes system values, like SetCPU, Spare Parts, etc. The install might complete, but by losing root after the update you could be stuck with some unintended results and unless you unlock the bootloader and install s pre-rooted ROM then there is not a current known way to root the 2.3.4 update.

By revert you mean? How do I revert? Also, for AT&T is GingerBread OTA already out? I'm on BELL. Well see, I have the AT&T card in my BELL bought phone. So am I on BELL or AT&T? In the about phone in the blur version it's BELL but the card is AT&T. 2.2.2 is the latest update for the BELL phone.

Now *that* is an interesting problem. I'm interested in seeing the expert's opinion on this one.

Yeah, do you know by any chance if 2.3.3 is out for AT&T OTA? (If gingerbread is out over the air)
