Wifi not detecting, factory reset, problem remains

    Hi everyone!

I am experiencing a weird internet problem with my Motorola Atrix 3g. I got it about a month ago, and so far was working perfectly.

Last thursday I turned on the wifi and the phone detected the wifi from all my neighbors, from the metro, from my school, but it did not detected my own home wifi. I tried some apps such as fxr fix and rescue, wifi manager and so on, but no luck. And then, after a while my mobile internet stop working as well.

I thought was a router problem, so I reseted the thing, and no changes. Weird thing is, my friendsī phones can detect and connect to my home wifi, but mine cant.
I though was a phone problem and as I dont understand much of phone/internet/ electronics, I decided for a factory reset, and yet, the internet did not work!!!
I called my mobile company, they sent me a setting for the mobile internet, and it is now it is working, but still does not detect my home wifi.

Any ideas/suggestions of what must be going on here?

    Thanks a lot!

Have you tried going into the remembered Wifi networks in Wifi settings and clearing out all the ones you don't need, including your home if you see it in there?

    Hello there!

    Thanks for your answer.
Yes I have tried that, and also changing some configurations in the router, but it does not detect my home wifi.

Interesting. How bad would it be to reset your router to factory default and setup a new network? Do you have a bunch of connections?

Which Wifi protocol is it on? B, G, N? Can you switch it?

I did reset both the router and the cellphone to factory default,no changes

I have only one connection, and the wifi is on protocol N... I am trying to learn how to switch, this is all new for me.
I start to believe it is a phone problem, like I said, all my friends can connect to my wifi but me... dont know what else to try

It is very odd, indeed. I would say a phone issue as well, but it's weird that you can see and connect to other networks.

Can you get into the router settings gs and manually change the broadcast channel to 6 or 11. Try not to use Auto or anything 12 or above (if those are even options), then reboot both phone and router.
