Hello! My Atrix screen got cracked, but I am pretty tech savvy, so I decided to replace the screen myself. Well, the first time I took it apart and installed the new screen, everything on the phone worked perfectly. But there was dust under the screen so I took it apart and re-did the install. Well, when I put it back together the second time, the camera was not working. So, I've worked on several trouble-shooting items, but can't get it working again. Did anyone else encounter this problem? Anyone have an idea on how I could fix it? Does it need an entirely new circuit board? Many thanks in advance!

The camera is mounted on a ribbon with some other components. You can buy it online. If you replaced the screen you shouldn't have trouble replacing that ribbon.

thanks for the reply!
i did see the camera units on sale online... my only concern is that it may not be the camera/ribbon but where that ribbon plugs into the circuit board (ie, need new circuit board) instead.
there was a infinitesimal little black piece on the circuit board where the ribbon plugs in that popped off, which i replaced correctly (i think) but am not sure. i feel like this was the 'lock' to make the ribbon seat snuggly? i dont think the ribbon is sitting as snug as it was originally... thus my concern that it may be the ribbon area on the circuit board not the camera/ribbon part.
thoughts?
update:
so my partner ran the phone by a local repair shop today. problem? the little black clip on the ribbon holder on the circuit board... so, i had the right issue, but didnt know how to fix.![]()
