    Creating Utility Zip For ROM

    I am running CM10.1 LOVE the ROM, but I tend to switch every few weeks to try a new one. So my question is, can I make an installable .zip file that I can push thro CWM that will add all of the missing apps that I need into the \system\app\ folder, so once the phone is booted, these apps will be there. This may not be possible, but what I am thinking is this:
    1) Install ROM
    2) Install Zip

    --Reboot and ROM installs including the apps added in from my ZIP

    I believe titanium backup has this feature. I don't know how to do it but I am sure that there is a tutorial somewhere

    I was unaware that TiBu was able to perform this feature.
    I was trying to write my own update.zip script that I could just install from the sdCard for example, my updater-script to install Date in Status Bar app, was
    Code:
    ui_print("                                ");
    ui_print("                                ");
    ui_print("                                ");
    ui_print("________________________________");
    ui_print("                                ");
    ui_print("|------------------------------|");
    ui_print("|    Test 1st Attempt @ This     |");
    ui_print("|------------------------------|");
    ui_print("| 10%  Update Started          |");
    ui_print("| 30%  Reading Apps            |");
    ui_print("| 60%  Mounting filesystem     |");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/cache");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/data");
    ui_print("| 80%  Installing Applications |");
    package_extract_dir("data", "/data");
    set_perm(1000, 1000, 0644, "/data/app/Date in Status Bar v1.7.5.apk");
    set_perm_recursive(1000, 1000, 0777, 0777, "/data/data/Date in Status Bar v1.7.5_DATA_FOLDER");
    delete("/data/dalvik-cache/data@app@Date in Status Bar v1.7.5.apk@classes.dex");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/system");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/cache");
    run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/data");
    ui_print("| 90%  Removing Dalvik-Cache   |");
    ui_print("| 100% Update complete         |");
    ui_print("| OMG IT WORKED!!!!            |");
    ui_print("|------------------------------|");
    ui_print("|------------------------------|");
    ui_print("________________________________");
    And I have the app, in my data\app\ folder --- I also signed the .zip before I attempted to push it, but I just get a generic error of update-zip failed when I try to push it.

    I also just found this app, from more and more googling --- I am going to give this a twirl and see if it works.

    Maybe it's not as great as I thought. I attempted to install the zip I made and received the error:
    E:\Error in /sdcard/MyBackup.zip
    (Status 0)

    Try emailing the dev. Most of the time they are very willing to help since it helps them work out the bugs.
