Download and install 'battery calibration' from the market. Fully charge your phone and before unplugging it open the app and click the calibrate button. This deletes a battery property file which gets re created. This file can be skewed when installing a rom, especially if you don't start fully charged

I have much experience with unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs on the original ATRIX. I will do my best to hold your hand through any problem, small or large, on any phone. Please open up a thread in the help section (or Rescue Squad section if your phone is in dire need) or PM me. I don't bite

You'll need to root your phone. Custom ROMs have root access upon install

Don't feel as if you need to root simply to get your battery calibrated using the app you're using. Try draining and charging your phone a few cycles. Of course, if you want to root for other reasons, that's another story.

Let me give you the whole story. Bought the Atrix June 30, found the GB upgrade later in July. I did an OTA, Phone worked about 3 days (Off at night) before GB. Now its gradually gotten to about DOA. Charged it lastnight, Turn on this morning around 5am. went to use it at 10am and its at 15%. I dont have any Experience with phone mods, but saw Kooliest talking about Battery Calibration. Got the app from Market. Hit The Button to Calibrate and the root phone came up. Dont want to brick the phone, though it would be nice to USE IT...
