    Lap dock roms

I am sure you are all sick of the "which rom is the best" I just flashed the cm7/redpill rom and love it. But my wife cashed in on the $50 lap dock deal and so I need a rom with lap dock capability! Does the cm7/redpill have that ability? Or will I need to flash another? I am leaning toward alien or redpill since they are super smooth, if the current one isnt doable. Also leaning away from aura since it doesn't seem to be getting much love in the "I go crazy fast" department.Anyone? :-)

Lapdock and HDMI to TV uses Webtop on your phone to work. Most ROMs don't install Webtop with it to save space(large file) on your phone. However, you can just flash Webtop without disturbing the ROM. I haven't tried it on all the ROMS but I know it works with the old RedPill

The following thread uses the Webtop file from US AT&T Gingerbread
[HOW TO] Flash Stock Webtop on the Atrix

EDIT: Has NOT been confirmed that it works CM7 based ROMs

Consider Darkside 3.1.2 (running GB 2.3.5) and installing the Webtop fruitcake for 2.3.5. Very nice rom, although I have no idea about using webtop

Atrix Lapdock now $54 thread. A few pages into the thread there's a link to a new $50 LapDock

Thanks, I'm going to try it on alien with the fruitcake file. With the web top (since I have unlimited data and don't want to give it up) will it be detectable by att or will i be safe since the rom has tethering enabled?

FYI, CM7 works with the lapdock BUT only as a HDMI mirror in portrait mode now.

    Done with this.

Hello, I'm on Darkside 3.1.2 Lite (ICS Themed) and use Webtop 2.3.5 without problems, I even kept my Wbtop2SD partition and configuration and it too runs without problems with this great ROM.

    Cheers!

The Lapdock is Great! Does anyone know how to get the lapdock to work with your service provider instead of using Wifi only?
