    CM9 test build # 1 [KANG] CM9 Atrix Test Build by wrldsuksgo2mars

hey guys i found this on xda and though some of you migh want to play with it. alot of features dont realy work well or work at all but it is kinda fun to play with. Sam Cripp in this thread said that atrix-dev-team cm9 is much further and if they are i would almost say that we are looking at a build being put out really soon. have fun and remember you flash at your own risk.

With what I read there I think im going to hold off. Really looking forward though seeing as that's a working run and they say the team is ahead of that. I think its not going to be long before I give in to the temptation and rom my phone with cm7 in anticipation for 9

Not to push you into anything but I have been running this since last night and so far it is actually pretty OK. Maps doesn't work and camera doesn't work. Internet is slow but those are really the only problems I have noticed. Otherwise there has been 1 crash of the launcher but that's OK in my book. Its actually really cool to play with.

Test build already? That was pretty quick. t0dbld doesn't waste anytime it seems. Sam has been tweaking with it on his phone he said and that it's extremely smooth even on the test build.

    Good news all around!

    Atrix 4G - Dorian's RedPill (CM7) Hybrid.

Remember, this "CM9" isn't from atrix-dev-team, it's someone else's creation based on the ICS source with CM7 components compiled into it. I guess that's what the "KANG" refers to, though I've only known it as the name of a Klingon from Star Trek.

So in other words WE SHOULD NOT FLASH THIS UNLESS WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING, BECAUSE IT IS FAR FROM STABLE!!!!

Im glad to see that CM9 is in the works, and it seems like the timeline of it coming "after the holidays" will hold true. In other words by my birthday (Feb 10th) i should have a pretty stable CM9 ROM on my phone.

My Atrix is back on the Pill so i decided to take off the case.
I think this is where i say something witty, clever, and cool.

Yes, I know of this. But even so they just started recently so it's rather quick for the test build to be public already. I have CM7 on my Xperia Play so I'm around the CM7 Forums every now and then for updates and was excited to know they started CM9 and skipped 8 due to ICS.

Edit: Also, from what I've read on xda that t0dbld was working on CM9 and Sam was running it on his phone as well, both being part of the Atrix Dev Team, so they have something to do with at least a certain version of CM9.

I figured you did, I just wanted to reiterate it for the benefit of everyone else, so that there are absolutely no misunderstandings about what exactly this ROM is. And Damien is right, do not flash this unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing because it IS unstable and you CAN expect to encounter problems. I'd never consider it for use as my daily driver, not in the state it's in right now, but for those who are flash-happy and want to play around (and don't mind risking a brick), sure, go for it.

I become flash happy once it enters the pre-beta stage =D
