Docks not working :(

Hi !

After a soft brick, I have reflashed my stock orange fr 4.2.0 (2.2.2) sbf with rsd lite.

Everything works again, except the docks...
when I connect my phone to hd dock or laptop dock, the only choice I have is to lauch the media center...

When I connect it to a standard dock, it just charge but doesn't give me the choice to lauch the clock...

I've tried to flash other sbf, but the issue is still here.
With unlocked bootloader and the ORFR 2.3.4, it works again, bug there is a lot of bugs, and I can't set my laptop keyboard in azerty, because all the external keyboards layouts are gone...

I've posted some messages in xda forum, but no one can help me :'(

Does anyone can help me here ?

I believe you might need to flash the 4.1.31, which is a full SBF instead of using the other, which is only a Service. A service file is just an update and doesn't wipe and replace the whole OS. If you flash the first one, then you can either then follow it up with the second or check for the OTA in settings.

I've flashed the 4.1.31, but the problem is still the same... :'(
I think something is missing, but what ?? I've replaced all the system apk, with no change...
It might be the webtop part, but how to reflash it alone ?

My docks aren't working as well. I'm running 4.5.91 from here. They have been working earlier but they stopped a few days ago. Still charges my phone but my phone doesn't recognize any of the docks.

Hmm, maybe you both could try:

Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All tab > find Motorola Dock Service and Clear data and Force close it. Then retry the dock?

Since you've tried a SBf flash, Stremon, it's not likely to work; but maybe worth a try?

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work for me. On the Car dock, it charges and plays music through the car speakers OK, but doesn't acknowledge the car(no steering wheel icon on Notification bar and no car relate software coming up). Just noticed when plugged onto my LapDock that the "HDMI Connection' menu comes up on phone. Looks like it's detecting the HDMI OK but not that it's plugged into a dock. Will try cleaning the connectors.

Just curious, I was thinking about unlocking the Bootloader and installing RedPill anyway. Would that clear any of my software issues that I may be experiencing?

I don't know if the ROM fully supports all the docks or not; my other concern is that the OP has already tried a SBF flash and it still did not help. I'm beginning to wonder if it's somehow hardware related?

Wow, that's very interesting. For those contemplating it, just be careful doing this as that partition is very important to the general function of your phone.

Here's a way to back up that partition prior to proceeding (though I can't speak for it since I have not done it): [INFO] Backup the pds partition of your Atrix! - xda-developers
