Cyan CWM is just the color that CWM displays when you boot in to recovery.
This site here will explain what CWM is and what it is used for. More or less, it replaces your phone's current recovery. Read on the find out more.

Gotcha. And cwm is what I'm going to use to flash my shiny new rom. Afterwards I will use TIB pro to restore my apps and settings. I'm a do it kinda guy. I gotta get my hands on it and go for it to fully understand everything.

Glad you figured it out. A lot of times after hacking, the phone gets stuck on the boot screen for an indefinite amount of time. Battery pulls usually do the trick.
As for CWM, it replaces the current recovery (for installing OTAs and wiping data) to allow for ROM backups and installations.

I have much experience with unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs on the original ATRIX. I will do my best to hold your hand through any problem, small or large, on any phone. Please open up a thread in the help section (or Rescue Squad section if your phone is in dire need) or PM me. I don't bite

In this case a battery pull landed me in the loop zone lol. I originally thought all my pics and vids from internal storage were wiped with the fastboot wipe command but it appears they survived. Ti b saved my apps and settings like a champ so I went ahead and got the donate version. I'm getting there guys :-) like I said, I've got a dangerous personality for this type of modding because I learn by doing. It's fun out here nonuser land.

Hey, if worse comes to worse, in my area, at any given time, there are usually three or four Motorola Atrix 4G phones on CL to buy for a reasonable price, usually around $200-$250.

That's a good thing :-) hope I never need one though.

If I ever find the time to actually dedicate to developing ROMs for the Atrix (which I intend to do at some point), then I would like to have a few of them around. Even if they have broken digitizers, just to see what happens when the ROMs load and what not. Plus, a digitizer is relatively inexpensive.

I'd like to have a few around so I don't have to worry about bricking my only one ;-) Thanks for all the help, guys.

Just to let you know, fastboot -w or factory resets just wipe system data like apps, app cache, contacts, settings, etc. 'Hard data' on the sd cards (internal or external) like pictures, musics, and downloads, will stay with this data wipe.
