Hey guys hopefully someone can help.
I have the Atrix 4G and it wont stop rebooting. It gets past the Red M and starts to load the AT&T splash screen then BAM! reboot. I took it to the AT&T store and they said I was out of luck because my water dots were red. Which was complete crap since the phone worked perfectly fine until downloaded the over the air update that came out around June/July 2011.
Chain of events.
March 2011 bought phone
April 2011 went for hike, started raining got soaked. Took phone out put in rice gave it a couple days and it worked fine.
June/July 2011 did over the air update. Phone would load into home screen and reboot randomly. (yes, the OS would fully load and I could use apps until reboot. Generally 30-45 seconds after loading)
July 2011 did factory reset, phone started rebooting on AT&T screen, took to ATT and they said it was water damage and they couldn't help me and said my warranty is void.
Had to ditch the phone because I couldn't get it to work.
So here I am missing my Atrix. Pulled it out crossed my finger and unfortunately it is still having the same issues. I figured I'd give it a last ditch effort before tossing it.
I don't recall what I tried back in July so I'm up for any and all suggestions. Today I tried a factory reset and to boot in safe mode. Neither worked.

For RSD I see "Starting RSD protocol support" waited a minute no change. for Fastboot mode I saw "Starting Fastboot protocol support" waited a minute and no change.
You have two options.....
1. You can download RSD Lite and the sbf for the phone if you have some know how to a PC and try to repair it that way, we can guide you through it.
2. Call Motorola and do a warranty claim in which you will have to send them the phone for them to fix it and be without it for a week or two.
The first option has risks, the second one is just a pain....

Please feel free to PM me if you need any help, I'll get back to you as soon as I can..
I'll be home in a couple hours and I'll try the RSD Lite method. I wish option #2 was an actual option for me. Unfortunately, the water dots are red and the warranty is void.
Definitely try RSD Lite to flash 4.5.91 (unless you have updated to 2.3.6 4.5.151 that came out today..then flash that file), this could very well fix your problem if the OTA did not work properly. 'Starting RSD protocol support' (and same for fastboot) is what the phone says, even though it looks like it is starting..it is started. Let us know if you have questions.
Welcome to the forums.
I have much experience with unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs on the original ATRIX. I will do my best to hold your hand through any problem, small or large, on any phone. Please open up a thread in the help section (or Rescue Squad section if your phone is in dire need) or PM me. I don't bite
Thanks for the Welcome.
So I completed the RSD Lite. I did the 4.5.91 install and used the instructions from here: [HOW TO] Use RSD Lite to Flash a SBF File - Motorola Atrix
The flash said "Pass" I rebooted the phone and it now says
"Failed to boot 4"
"Starting RSD Mode"
"Battery too low to flash"
I can no longer charge my device.
I've tried USB Cable Front and Back(How I would charge before)
iPhone Charger with USB Cable
AT&T Car Charger
AT&T Car Charger using USB Cable
Atrix Car Dock
(Only thing I don't have is the charger that came with the phone.)
Searching on the "Failed boot 4" people have said it was an issue with the sbf file. I DL'd the SBF from 1ff-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-att-us-gas_na_olpsgbattspe_p011.sbf.gz - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download any ideas where I can get a different one?
If it did, you should flash directly to the new 2.3.6/4.5.141 build using this SBF: xda-developers - View Single Post - Atrix Firmwares Superthread (Official Firmware Team of M3)
Even if it didn't try the update, or you didn't see it at least, flashing that SBF above is probably the best step to take.
That is, if you can get a charge to the battery.
External battery charger, another person's Atrix (or DroidX), Moto Factory flashing cable, or the MacGyver method.
Bottom line Taco, you must charge the battery before our R/S guys can lead you through any help process. Do you have a battery charger or do you know anyone with the original Droid X (not the DX2)? The two phones share the same battery, BTW.
