    A New Phone

Well here is the situation. I am extremely satisfied with my atrix (REDPiLL WOOT!), but my brother is in the market for a smartphone, and I was hoping that I could get some input from others before we decide. The specifications that I am hoping for him (my brother) are decent processor, medium screen (3.5~4 in) and relatively low price range ($0-75), and either android or wp7. I don't want him to get something that was old tech a few months ago and won't last a few months either. I was thinking maybe samsung focus flash (WP7), but I am really open to suggestions. Thanks for the input.

Atrix sounds like it fits the bill to be honest. I haven't checked, but you may be able to still pick one up on Amazon with a contract for free.

Darn. Don't get me wrong, I love my atrix, but I don't think my brother is willing to make the atrix a useable phone for himself (he'd rather have it simple and getting atrix to a good state takes lots of time). Any other ideas

The problem is going to be the screen size. You're looking for a really small screen by current standards. You could probably pick up an HTC Inspire for next to nothing, and it has HTC Sense as an overlay to Android 2.3 (I think -although it may come with Froyo, out of the box), which is quite popular and very user friendly. Great processor, so-so battery, but an overall great phone...with a 4.3 inch screen which is bigger than the Atrix. Still, check it out here - AmazonWireless: HTC Inspire 4G Android Phone (AT&T)

Lol I thought really hard about the inspire before I picked atrix and I felt that what the atrix offered was better than what inspire offered, so I dunno. The thing about this is I want to get him a good phone without paying too much as he is fairly young

Dude, it's a penny at Amazon. Doesn't come cheaper than that. Plus, it's a great phone - still, at the 2012 level. I've owned one for a year now, and LOVE it.

Well all of that just went down the toilet. We went to the ATT store to inspect the phones before he decided on one and totally disregarded what I suggested. He picked the LG thrill (ugh!) by LG!! I suggested inspire and focus flash (2 different OS choices, and he gets stuck on the 3D gimmick.) Thanks for the help anyway.

**Edit: It's still running FROYO with a small development team for the US version***
