I know, no break for us. I guess beating last year profit is more important that keeping the costumer happy.

Hey, at least they support their phones until you are upgrade eligible! uh...well, at least their "flagship devices" ....uh...nevermind.

HA HA!!! Really not funny. While there are "other" ways to get cell phone service, and at a really reasonable rate, you lost the benefit of those flagship devices. You trade one for the other. It seems like it is getting more and more difficult to find a product that offers the whole package. Honestly, I'll pay for it, because I want what I want. I work hard for what I want. So yeah, I will just wait a month longer to save up the extra $18 to upgrade my phone. Upgrading, it seems, is something all carriers try and make their customers feel entitled too. Think we can change this one like the additional $2 VZW was looking to throw at their customers? Probably not, because an upgrade is optional. Oh well.

And, just exactly what is involved in an upgrade? Move your sim card over and you're done. New sim card, flip a switch to activate it. Let's see....whoever is doing the actual physical part is making like $175 an hour. Oy vey!

    Peace out!

As much as it is annoying that they continue to squeeze every penny they can out of us, we pretty much have no choice in the matter. Unless there is some mass exodus from AT&T to another provider, we'll have to just deal with it.

My last upgrade was the Atrix and I'm pretty comfortable with it for now. I already qualify for another upgrade, but I'm just going to wait and buy a phone right out. That way when the time comes to drop at&t like a dead body, the pain of leaving won't cost me anything.

The problem is though, that unless you buy an International version of that future phone, you may not be able to port it over to T-Mobile. It may only have the AT&T frequencies on it.

And the other carriers are plagued with their own issues, as well.

Yea verily, it doth indeed sucketh, but since I'm not eligible for an upgrade for at least another year, I'll worry about it then. Besides, as you guys have pointed out, we really have very little choice in the matter, plus we're pretty much screwed no matter where you go.
