    SMS problem

    I am experiencing an unusual problem with SMS,
    when I receive a text message and then subsequently delete it, I still keep receiving the same message after a short while sometimes even after a few days, even if I delete it every time.
    Telstra already replaced the SIM card in case there was a problem with it, but the problem is still there.
    Could this be a problem with my Atrix or some setting.

    I don't think it's a problem with the phone (hardware). It's an issue with your app, possibly a setting. Are you using the stock SMS or a different one? I use Handcent. Others like GoSMS. Both offer more than the stock app offers and perform well. You might give one of them a try. Be sure to turn off notifications in the stock app if you do use another SMS app otherwise you'll get 2 notices every time.

    I wouldn't rule out hardware yet, but to rule out software I recommend using an alternative app like carl recommended.

    I use Go SMS myself with no issued. They do constants update to the application and works flawlessly.

    I saw on XDA (maybe it was your thread) where someone suggested that it was a tower issue. This seems remote to me, but who knows.

    I have this same problem, and others like it, on Telstra. It's related to the Telstra system not the phone hardware or software.

    Talked to Motorola Support and he recommended this a first step:

    Settings->Applications->Running->Messages->Clear Data
    Trying it at the moment, have to see if it worked.

    As a second step he recommended to factory reset the phone.

    Thanks, using stock SMS, will try different ones if Moto Support recommendations don't work
